Fisher Paykel Dishdrawer DD603 Pump motor blackened when ran for the first time

I am working on a DD603 dishdrawer. I placed a new pump, motor, RPS sensor and wiring harness on the drawer. When I ran it for the first time it burnt and blackened the coils on the pump. I would like to check my control board to rule it out as the problem. I may also have installed a part wrong but would like feedback on possible ways to check the control board or other problems that I can research.

1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Disconnect the wire connector from the
MOTOR terminals on the controller.
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
following terminals. The meter should indicate between 7.5 and 8.5 Ω per coil.
Coil 1 = terminals 1 and 2
Coil 2 = terminals 1 and 3
Coil 3 = terminals 2 and 3

Thanks for the information. I will check the ohms on the coils and terminals

Make sure the rotor can spin freely as well, if an electric motor cant produce motion, it will produce heat...
