HELP..banging whirlpool washer

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a whirlpool washer, model# LLR6144AQ0, It bangs like crazy when its on the spin cycle. It acts like its out of balance but its not, i have messed with this thing for months and cant make it stop. I did some research and seems the counterbalance spring can cause this, so i took it  apart and the spring is still there, connected and all, nothing wrong. The other shorter springs are all still there and functioning also, so now, i dont know what else to check.. everything ive read points to that counter balance spring and its fine..

Washing machine tub suspension pads (package of 3). These pads help to absorb the movement of the washer tub. If a tub pad is worn, the washing machine will be unbalanced and will vibrate or shake during the spin cycle.

Make sure the self leveling rear legs are not seized up ,check the suspension pads as mentioned earlier , & check the balance ring at the top of the inner tub for leakage.
