Doing a repair on a whirlpool wfw9470 front load washer, making a bearing noise. Pulled outer basket apart bearings were rusted and falling apart. Ordered bearing from frontloadbearing.com and replaced. I assume I should be able to spin the basket by hand. It will not spin by hand and will not spin on high. I removed and cleaned the pump, strainer, and drain line. Impeller on pump is good and pump runs on test. I am under the assumption that there is a torque issue with the new bearings. Washer seams to wash OK but when it's time for spin cycle it just turns back and forth like it's trying to balance a load (even when empty). Also seams to be excessive basket motion. I am pulling it apart again later today to check the shaft and spider again, anything else I can check while I have it apart. Any other ideas?

Did you replace rear tub and spider? Generally just replacing bearings is not advised.

Need to replace rear tub and inspect spider arm for damage.

On first inspection I didn't see any damage, however after taking it back apart I noticed the spider had some corrosion on it. I cleaned the corrosion off and it is cracked underneath. The wife says the husband is going to buy new so I'll probably fix this and give it away. Thanks for the help.
