This range lost functionality on part of the keypad (numbers and timers). We replaced the front panel with keypad and it worked again briefly. At one point there was some kind of noise (I was not around to witness this) and it worked again briefly.

The repair part I received from a regional supply house had a suspicious look to the ribbon cable. It was slightly delaminated but had no obvious interaction between leads. I could not find a technical document that might have helped in troubleshooting continuity between leads and the switch circuitry.

So we decided to try replacing the control board. No issues were encountered installing it but it did not resolve the problem.

Now I'm back to concluding that perhaps the replacement keypad unit was defective.

Are there any documents or tips that might assist in troubleshooting this before I go one more step in replace and test?
