Is there any icon or indicator on the display when it is locking?

Have you put the machine into diagnostics?

Posted

I haven't witnessed this issue as it is random...customer says it locks out control panel when it happens and the lock icon is lit. I have not been able to put into diagnostic as i haven't been able to find out how . Tech sheet missing.

Posted

Also....customer claims no error codes.

Is it heating properly? Have you tested the sensor?  If the oven thinks the temp is too high it will lock the door as a safety precaution.

As far as im aware of it is heating properly...i thought the temp probe may be an issue..i have not tested it as of yet.

Does anyone know the sequence to put this unit in diagnostics?

If your model number is really ew30ds75ks2 then it does not list any service mode in tech sheet. Errors should pop up when detected.

Posted

Yes that is the proper model...and it hasn't thrown out any error codes at all as of now.

Normaly if this oven is locking the door for over temp issues I would expect it to give a f10 error. With no errors I would replace the control if the sensor tested good which you already did. Next I would wonder if there were any young children in the house that could be pressing buttons. I would not rule out that somebody is leaning against the touchpad. I would show customer how to lock and unlock the control and see if it locks itself while the controls are locked out.

It has given no errors per the customer. I have also shown them how to unlock controls and they say  w hen it locks on its own the unlock button is unresponsive.
