SAMSUNG DV330AE Dryer Hourglass Icon always on

Recommended Posts

Posted

I posted a question the other day about my dryer not heating.  I followed the suggestions to check voltage and it's good at the terminals.  The thing that bugs me about the dryer is the hourglass icon is always lit, from power on, no matter what setting/mode is chosen.  I finally found a reference that says the hourglass means the dryer count down timer is active.  So is that normal, to always be lit, no matter what setting the dryer is set to and no matter if it is running or not?  I might be OK following the suggestion to replace the heater unit but if I have some sort of logic problem I don't want to go down that rabbit hole.

Thanks In Advance
