LSQ9544KQ0 No spin

The Whirlpool model LSQ9544KQ0 I have won't spin when fully connected. Lid Switch is OK. Timer was replaced as the previous one was in pretty rough shape. Transmission was replaced, though it appears the previous one was fine. Drive block was replaced as the previous one wasn't very secured. Drain Pump is fine. Nothing is caught in the tub. Motor was also replaced...and here's where I get even more confused. If I disconnect the motor from the transmission and set the washer to spin, sometimes it spins all on it's own. Sometimes I need to give it a tap on the shaft to get it going. Previous motor wouldn't do anything, with or without a tap on the shaft. Any thoughts?

Correction:

Old motor will start with a little prodding, but it's nowhere close to full speed as it's just barely rotating as if there's no power. New motor will rotate at a speed that I imagine is normal, sometimes with prodding, sometimes without.

Welp, you were right. It was the capacitor. Old motor works fine on it. Thanks.

Man, I really hate over complicating stuff. Thanks for the help.
