Bosch front loader washer won't spin

Recommended Posts

Working on a front loader model # WFL2060US. No water in the tub, pump has no debris. Drains fine and then just sits there with the pump running but no spin. Belt isn't broken.  Not very familitary with the Bosch front loader. On other front loaders the door switch has a wax motor that can be the culprit or the board. What is the most common thing to look at for this problem besides broken belt or clogged pump?

Could be dirt in the pressure chamber or pipe that runs to the pressure switch. Undo pipe @ pressure switch and see if it will spin. Maybe carbon brushes on motor or motor itself' How old is the machine?

Posted

Not sure how old the machine is. Maybe someone could pipe in with the model # I posted in my first post to the topic and tell us?

There are tons of WFL2060 units- none with the suffix US...

So is the "us" not necessary?

Posted

The suffix is important to sort out exactly which one of the WFL2060 listings applies to your machine...

Although the age of the machine is of minimal importance, in most cases, did you look near the motor for black dust?

If the water level pressure switch is clogged... I'd follow Strumpfman's tip and see what happens.

By the way I installed new brushes in the motor which the old ones were down to a nubbin. Runs great, and thanks for the help
