Maytag refrigerator model MBB1952HEW freezer door left open

Good Afternoon -

New guy here and this is my first post. I have a Maytag refrigerator model mbb1952hew serial 13660775LT. The bottom freezer door was left open overnight. In the morning, the entire freezer compartment was covered in frost. Both freezer and frig compartments seem ok, but, the compressor seems to be running a lot. Should I clean out the food and power the frig down for a while to let everything melt?

Thank you in advance for any advice :-)

I would shut it down for 24 hours with doors open. That way any frost that is in air ducts can thaw too. Running a lot due to poor airflow. Never getting to temp.

Thanks abaesemann!  We are back up and running and the beer is cold :-)
