newbie here looking for guidance, I love this vintage washer, when it goes through normal pre-wash, it cycles and drains advancing timer to main wash, then freezes, im checking fill valve for current, none to be had, I tried slightly advancing timer, but don't get further activity till the later rinse cycle. just to further identify activity, I ran a delicate cycle cold, to see if main wash would progress, and it has the same "freeze" with no fill, activity. so my question to this forum, can these timers be disassembled to restore contacts? seems like a water fill load on the timer contacts would be minimal compared to a pump, but im just getting into this.

No the contact cannot be replaced in the timer, if it is in fact a bad timer. Here is the part number for that timer,

Product code:  02085001
Description:

TIMER

Just to note, a timer advances when circuits are completed. If a sensor, or thermostat are not closing, then the timer will sit there waiting for the next voltage to advance.

Since the timer is over $500 just for the part, you may want to call someone who can diagnose it fully.
