Any tips on real life inner basket removal? Not supposed to have to take entire assembly out for seal change but did and still can't unfreeze tranny shaft. 2 days wd40 hand sledge and wood block. Heat on cast aluminum mount hub?

Thanks, watched that, mine is corroded and I believe why they don't sell the mount hub anymore. They think folks are going to pay $550 for the whole assembly, as now listed. New one is cheaper

I had to use the jack method on a GE tub and it worked

Me to. The fluid filled balance ring broke hit the ceiling and covered everything with a non evaporating oily crap that took 2 days, washing 3 times to get rid of. not done yet
I would not recommend this to anyone.
GE used a defective mount hub that even repairmen couldn't remove so covered their ass by
not making it and offering the entire assembly for ovr $500. Knowing no one would pay the cost of a new machine for a repair. A Dirty way to screw customers and not be responsible.
Of Course the will tell you electricity is dangerous and if washer doesn't start, plug it in. more ass cover insulting your intelligence.
What they didn't warn about was some mystery fluid.
