Termador RDSS30 Gas/Electric Range No gas to one burner

Recommended Posts

My mom has a Thermador RDSS30 Slide in Range with 4 gas burners on top and an electric convection oven.

The left front gas burner igniter sparks ok, but there is no gas flow.

A serviceman came out and told her just not to use that burner, because it is not repairable.  Not sure how far he went into it....

Anyone had this symptom on a similar Thermador range?  This range is quite impressive except for that.

Thanks

Rob

You probably need one if these. This repair is kind of a big can of worms though. The part comes with 2 potentiometers not pictured.

Part number: AP3872617

Part number: AP3872617

You won't find this part in the model# look up.

if this the low simmer burner (which I think it is)

you should hear the gas solenoid click when you turn on the gas.

no click you may need the low simmer module or the gas valve coil is open

if you here the click check the orifice for a blockage
