Info about machine, bought new about 5 years ago. Hasn't really given a problem till now, Did get an error code once, something was trapped in drain pump.
 
My son went to change from washer to dryer, and saw a problem with machine blinking I believe. My wife went to take a look and saw some message but nothing helpful. I went to check it out and saw F28 and door was closed (locked) and didn't want to open. I started searching and found how to open door, washer was already empty though. After I got the door opened also got F26 and F28. Cycled power and while trying to run diagnostic it goes to F28. Powered machine off, and proceeded with the (3 blue wires from MCU to CCU checked them and closed the pins a little, Powered up and machine looked normal tired to run a normal cycle, hit start and didn't start. Not sure if it was because it was empty. But didn't do anything. So I canceled and attempted to run diagnostic again. While trying to run diagnostic I get error F28 . Any and All help will be HELPFUL.

how long ago wash the pump changed??? what does your tech sheet indicate for  F-28 and f 26 fault code???  Do not have the time to find  the tech sheets right now...

The incident with the pump, was one of there small socks and a small toy, pump didn't need replacement but that was about 1.5-2years ago. Driving home now, F28 is the communication error, and F26 is a door lock error. If I remember correctly.

Typically when I get a communication error and door won't unlock it ends up being the mcu. Easiest way to confirm is pull the mcu and remove the board from the housing and look for a burned spot on the bottom of the board. Part number: WP8183196
