Hi

I'm hoping someone can help. I have a 20 year old sub zero side by side. Recently the ice maker starting frosting over. Historically this ice maker has been finicky, if the door is held open searching for that last ice pop, a little melting causes clogs. However, mortally stays clean. Lately it has been frosting over very fast- I clean it all out, including the slide and flapper, dry it, then within 24 hours it is completely frosted over. I have never seen this before. I repeated the clean/replace process several times so it's not a fluke.

any thoughts? Otherwise things are good- frozen food, cold settings are normal, no problems.

I believe its a model 690...

Check door seals for leaks. Sounds like humid room air is entering the unit and the fan is blowing the air and freezing it on the ice maker.
