Samsung RF268AB top ice not working display panel partially works

Recommended Posts

I have a Samsung fridge model RF268AB. The bottom ice makes ice fine, however the top does not. Additionally, I'm not sure if it is related, but the ice type/water indicator on the display panel does not work. You can vaguely see the crushed ice light, but water and cubed does not work at all, but it will cycle through the types.

The door water will dispense water, and will try to dispense ice, but no ice is being made. I have pushed the test button on the ice maker for 10 seconds a few times but no change.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a dead ice maker to me.

OK. Thanks for the reply.

Is there a fuse or something to reset that I could try before replacing it? I see that replacing it is a simple replacement but is $100.

A little off topic, what is the plastic piece on top of the fridge on the left side about middle ways back?
