Pull the belt and see if the transmission and drain pump turn by hand in both directions. Looks like the tub seal and transmission are Nla but if you google "transmission 12002178" and click on shopping you can find it for over $350.00 and it looks like it comes with a tub seal. Tub seal is Nla also but someone has one on eBay for around $40.00. If you are lucky the drain pump is locked up and that is available. Part number: 201566P

Now thoes parts may not work if there is another set of numbers after you model number. The way they gave these parts priced and discontinued it may be a better idea to buy a new washer.

full number is LWA30AW   PLWA30AW mfg by Raytheon. omg. Yes it pumps out fast just no spin good agitation at least I heard agitation, Can see the dribble from edge of tub bearing,  when I start a cycle I can see the clutch thrust or twist up but no spin, haven't tried pulling belt yet, Didn't understand how the leak got by the bearing and triangular flange ?? thks kfc

Normaly when I see leaking tub seal and no spin the transmission is the cause but not always. That model number uses the same part as I posted. Part number: 40016101

Part number: 40016101

Thats the tub seal. I meant to post that with the others.

If your motor is spinning but the tub is not then I would inspect for obvious damage but it sounds like the transmission is internally broken.

Looks like it will be going to the parts storage area unless we just get lucky, wait and see for now, thks johntech .
