Amana Old School DW - Drain Length?

Hi,

Looking for a service/install manual.  I ran into a rental unit: DW, No Drain.  The DW was installed in an island about 10' from the sink.  Landlord claims she had a plumber professionally install DW.  The drain water dribbled out the air gap.  I cleaned the drain lines and sumps and got the drain water to shoot about 3/4" out the air gap, but still not enough to fully empty the tub.

I could replace the impeller assembly, but I think drain line length is the root problem and would like to show the landlord printed documentation before going down the replace impeller assembly road and getting disappointing results.

Thanks!

Joe

Thanks Lighthouse!

Just what I was looking for.

These models are well known for getting bits of food and broken glass etc, in the hoses that go from the drain pump to the drain hose.  I would take those hoses apart and check for blockages.  Very seldom do these pumps go bad.
