Washing Machine Water Will Not Turn Off

Hello all, I am new to this forum. Please bare with me.

I have a Bosch Vision 300 DLX Model WFVC3300UC/22 - The Water won't turn off. It fills up the draw for the detergent which is located at the top left and just pours out.

I am thinking it may be the sensor for where the water first comes into the washer of the pump sensor is not functioning properly either.

I checked all the hoses and there are no clogs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not quite sure from your explanation as to what is exactly happening with the washer ??     1)  Are you saying that the water is filling in the dispenser like it should when you start a wash cycle and then all of a sudden as the water is still filling into the dispenser up top , that the water starts coming out of the dispenser area at the top of the washer ?     Even if the water is all of a sudden flowing out of  the dispenser up top when it is putting water into the dispenser,  the water inlet valve at some point will stop the water flow into the dispenser when its satisfied.      I'm not sure if you might be saying that the water is filling into the dispenser and then traveling into the tub and then the water just keeps filling the tub at this point and then over flowing out of the tub at the tub level and then out onto the floor at the door opening.           If the water eventually stops filling into the dispenser container at the top of the washer and the water is only over flowing out of the dispenser up top then you most likely will have a clogged dispenser outlet  port in the dispenser  or a clogged dispenser outlet tube or line that flows into the tub from the dispenser.  You will need to check the water outlet port and line of the dispenser to the tub entrance for any obstructions Thoroughly.  If there is an obstruction the water will back up and flow out of the dispenser up top then out onto the front of the washer and down to the floor.   Sometimes consumers will put the dispenser pods into the dispenser instead of the tub itself and the pods do not dissolve in time enough to let the water  properly flow out of the detergent dispenser into the tub and then the water will back up and flow out of the dispenser up top.  If thats the case then always remember to put the detergent pods into the tub itself first then the clothes and the problem should go away.        2)  If The water is not stopping at all and filling through the dispenser , then flowing out of the  dispenser into the tub tub and then the water is overflowing out of the tub onto the floor at the door opening , Then you may have a problem with the water inlet valve as   16345ED has mentioned.         Where is exact location that the water is first coming from in the machine ??   is it flowing out onto the floor from the dispenser at the very top of the washer  or is the water coming from the tub level at the door opening then onto the floor ??        also it's  "Important"   to know if the water is not stopping at all.  What did you do to stop the water flow ? .  Did just hitting the power button on the machine stop the water or did you have to shut off the mixing valve behind the washer that supplies the water to the washer in order to stop the water flow.?

Darren, Thank you for being so detailed. My washing machine is a front load. Correct me if I am wrong with these first 2 statements, 1.) If the washer is in a rinse or wash cycle water should be filling the drum. If so this does happen as expected. 2.) When the machine is in a spin cycle there should be NO water filling the drum. This is when there is continuous water filling the drum. The water coming in from the main line and passes through the water inlet valve. This led me to believe this is my issue. As water passes through the inlet valve it goes directly to the detergent tray. With the continuous flow of water the detergent tray fills too much and the water is overflowing from the detergent tray. I literally turn off the main valve to the washer to stop the flowing water. I turn the water back on and the the flow of water remains off as it should during the spin cycle. As I mentioned in my first message I did check all hoses and ports and found no obstructions.

I ordered a new inlet valve and will be replacing it as soon as it arrives.

Thank you both for your replies.

I hope both of you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Bob
