I have a DCS dual fuel oven/range model #

RDS-364GDSS, serial number 02H34267C.  Before Thanksgiving we were using the self-cleaning feature and inadvertently interrupted the cycle.  Several hours later we tried to open the oven door and it was still locked.  Today, I am finally getting around to trying to open the door. The self cleaning light is still illuminated and the door is still locked. I have tried throwing the breaker to see if this would “reset” anything..no luck.  I don’t understand how it works, but it seems to me that 1) the self cleaning switch [could] not be sending a signal to the motorized door lock, or 2) the switch is sending the signal but the motor on the door lock is not responding for whatever reason??  At any rate, my question is...Is there ANY WAY to manually open the door???? We live in an area where the closest repair center is 2 1/2 hours away. I just want the door open...I’ll never initiate the self cleaning feature again!?.  I’m fairly mechanically minded (just not technically) and can follow good directions.  I read in another forum about unlatching it with a coat hanger?

Thank you SO much in advance,

MWells

Plug it in, cancel everything then put back into self-clean cycle again then cancel the self-clean cycle.   No idea if this is going to work or not, I'm not real familiar with DCS products.

Any progress? You can always try calling DCS (FIsher and Paykel(Haier)) and they might nave a solution for you.
