Kenmore Elite HE5 Steam Electric Dryer

My dryer wouldn't start even though all lights on.

The control board under the top was repaired last year and looks good.  I replace a thermal fuse and it worked once, even though my wife said the clothes were pretty hot.

Then it wouldn't start again.  And on the previous cycle the dryer stopped with 3 minutes remaining.  Any ideas?

It likely blew again then. Gotta determine why it’s so hot. Could be shorted element as suggested or could be a bad thermostat or a clogged vent.

Just had one of these and the element was shorted to the case. (and lots o lint in the exhaust line too)

When checking the vent remove the lint duct assembly that the lint screen goes down into. Make sure it is clean

Heater relay could be shorted closed
