MVWC360AW0 washer leaves the clothes soaked after the spin cycle is complete. If I put it on an additional spin/drain cycle then they come out fine. Ideas?

Check drain pump. Could be a weak pump or something blocking it.

It’s possible the lid lock is failing and working intermittently. You need to pull up the error code diagnostics to see what the most recent error code is on your washer. That will be the first thing you want to do

My guess would be a shift actuator failure. I will post the test below. To get into this test mode you must first enter diagnostic mode. Do this by turning the cycle selector knob in the following sequence while in idle mode (L-left, R-right)

LRRRLR

if inputted correctly all lights will start flashing. Then do the test attached.

Yes run diagnostics and pull codes.

Will it spin high speed in manual test?

Should you pull up any codes, it will be the first one of 4 that shows ,for the most recent error. If it’s  any of the F7 error codes  it will point towards the   “”shift actuator/speed sensor””. While your in the diagnostic error code process also make sure you erase the error codes after writing them down. After you log down the 4th error code if there are 4 then turn the cycle selector knob one more click to the right until all the led lights are blinking, then hold down the start button for 3-5 seconds and that will erase all the current codes. that way any new code that re appears will help you in the diagnosis process. If it does end up showing any one of the F7 error codes when you first check, , there are two simple and quick checks you May want to consider checking before automatically thinking you need the shift actuator/speed sensor . make sure there’s nothing stuck in between the inner and outer tubs by spinning the inner tub and sensing if there is any resistance in the spinning process also remove the drain line hose out of the stand pipe and pull the washer forward and tilt it back very slowly and lean it on the back wall enough for you to inspect the belt pulley. Take off the the plastic belt and pulley cage , then wiggle the pulley and see if it is loose. If you feel it’s loose and your able to re-tighten it up , that may rectify the issue. If those two checks appear to be fine and your getting any of the F7 codes it will most likely be the actuator in question that is your problem. Obviously the wire harness wiring and harness connection at the shift actuator /speed sensor etc need the proper testing procedures but again 8 out of 10 times changing the actuator under an F7 code should fix your problem with the proper procedural checks applied from the technical service book on your machine. Good luck ok
