The drier works but I think it is overheating the clothes.   The clothes are REALLY hot to touch before the cooling cycle even on medium to low temp settingS

Is there spomething I should test?

Temperature slider? limit switches? thermostat?

A shorted element can cause the element to stay on all the time. Common occurrence. I have seen them stay on even when the machine is not running. You would need to get to the element and check ohm's from the terminals to the housing.

Very true on this one ,   Also make sure the vent going to the outside is clear.  If you can get a thermometer, check the temp of the air coming out of the dryer without clothes in it .  Any temp over 180 is not good on this dryer.

Also, These are very good dryers and worth doing work on to keep it going
