I am having issues with my AC. about 3 days ago I noticed that the thermostat was completely blank. It has the use of batteries, but it didn't have any. It has been powered by the wiring connected to the circuit board/furnace. My AC stopped working. I change the capacitor and the contactor. figured out I wasn't getting  that little jump (24 V). Now I want to try to jump start it to start the AC fan. what are two wires that I need to connect to jump it?

A transrormer on your board at the air handler provides power for thermostat and for the contactor. Find that and see why it is not working. Do not bother messing with the fan compressor capacitor contactor blower thermostat or ANY high voltage until you restore power to the 24v circuit and therostat is working.and contactor is closeing. There is no point. Google 24v transformers and how to test. Dont begin without a multimeter. And read 10 comandments of householde power.
