washer motor stator cracks - Maytag MVWB700VQ0

Hi all-
I'm a DIY guy, new to the forum.
I have a Maytag Bravos washer (MVWB700VQ0). Showing the tell-tale signs with grease/oil spatter around bottom of machine & inside bottom of cabinet. Bought bearing/drive shaft replacement kit (W10435302). Going through the process and got to the step to remove the motor stator. Noticed that there are some cracks in the plastic housing - most small, some a bit larger. Obviously I couldn't see/know this until I got into the repair.
What I'd like to know is if this is a "must replace" item (it's pretty pricey - more than double the bearing/shaft kit).
Does the cracked plastic present a significant problem? or is it fine to proceed with the repair and leave this one in the machine?
If it must be replaced, I want to go ahead & get the part while I have things taken apart. If it's not a must, I just want to complete the initial repair.

Thanks in advance for all your time & help.
This newbie appreciates it!

Not a must  unless they are huge a pic would help, but. They get some cracks from time to time.

Dont spend a penny more untill you know the bearing job went well.

Then if it is bad. Most used appliace places will sell you a used motor  if you want it that is good condition.

Motors/stator very very very rarly fail on these
