fgid2466qf4a error code: Uo for open vent fan

Start dishwasher and hear the vent fan try to close three times then displays Uo error code for open vent fan.   Checked wiring, vent fan had no obstacles or blockage, optic sensor was clear.  Replaced fan(first step mentioned) and worked for a test cycle and one wash then failed again.  Replaced control board all good now.  Is there a better way on this particular issue than the 50/50 guess from Frigidaire?

thanks John
