GE Profile PSHS6RGXCDSS won't dispense water or ice

Our side by side GE Profile PSHS6RGXCDSS won't dispense ice or water most of the time but works intermittently.  At first you could hear the ice auger trying to turn but no longer does.  Now lights flash when you depress to dispense and the temperature is briefly displayed on the LCD.  Trying to figure out if this is the main control board or some type of solenoid.  Please help me diagnose.  Thank you!

There is a switch behind the dispenser paddle. It doesn't fail very often, but it can. Might want to check it. The lights dimming on the display when the paddle is depressed is often a clue that the main control board is failing.

Had one a couple of weeks ago with a similar issue. I pulled paddle out & switch was green with corrosion. Replaced it and all good.

I just looked at the dispenser switch and it does not appear corroded.  The dispenser lights (not the green LCD screen) flash when I depress the dispenser switch and the LCD screen briefly displays the refrigerator/freezer temperature.  I did attempt to test output between J4-2 and J4-3 with a multimeter and it only read 7.  I read somewhere else it was between 12-18.  I have tested electrical things before but I think I am doing it right.  Do you think this would indicate a bad main control board?  If the dispenser switch was bad wouldn't nothing happen at all when pressed?

Yes, the dispenser switch appears to be working. I believe you have a failing main control board.
