REPOST: MAYTAG MVWB765FW CLARIFICATION: Whistling Sound Comes/Goes with Agitation

REPOST, hoping I will hear from Samurai Gurus on this issue described today, or at least thoughts on my questions below. I don't know how to attach sound file or I would....

Our MAYTAG top load MVWB765 has just started 'whistling'  in time with the PowerWash agitator. Depending on speed of agitation, it whistles - annoyingly but not LOUD - and then stops when it reverses, then whistles again. Only when the tub is agitating.

WhEEEw.....WhEEEw....WhEEEw over and over! Definitely not metallic or grinding.....and no change in pitch.

Got this just as it was released as I am an Appliance Sales Specialist and saw this as an apparent 'winner' in 2016.  Hope that's not wrong!

My questions, then, for consideration:

- has anyone seen this type of symptom before?

- is it possible this could damage the washer further if it doesnt get worse and I just 'live with it"?

- what might be the possible root cause of such noises and problems?

- how can i test/diagnose this further to get more data/info on the underlying issue?

As always, for several helps with my problems as a Grasshoppah, thanks in advance.
