Frigidaire drain pump #137108000 lacks a ground connection

Just received a replacement drain pump for my old Kenmore front-load washer (970-38712-00). The pump is a Frigidaire OEM Part #137108000, a slightly different design from the original part, which is no longer available. It accepts the 2-pin plug from the wiring harness but lacks the tab for the ground wire that was present on the original pump. The new part appears to be all plastic, so it seems pointless to try attaching the ground to any visible screw on the pump. Is it acceptable just to leave the ground wire off? Or should the ground wire be attached to the frame of the washer? Look forward to any suggestions...

Cheers

I haven’t seen a ground on any pumps, should just be one connector with two spades connections in it.

Yeah that's the pump. The original design is 20 years old, a Sears Canada product. I'll just tape up the ground wire I suppose.
