This washing machine has served me faithfully for almost 17 years, it has not required ANY major repairs. Because the new top load machines are absolute garbage, I'd like to keep it in good running order for as long as possible.

I am willing to invest whatever it takes to keep it going and am considering overhauling it.

Other than the normal drive belts, water pump, hoses and tub bearing/seal replacement can anyone recommend other parts I should be considering?

The tub seal is not yet leaking, but I'd like to replace it before it does.

Thanks in advance!

If it were me I would not do anything till it needs it ,  reason being the new parts are not made as good. Definitely keep the machine going

Agree. Most parts when they do break dont take others with it. Maybe a belt set. Lube motor rollers.  Check hoses to see if they are super stiff, check air gap in drain hose. Check pressure tube for cracks, but if they look ok leave it.
