Frigidaire Model LFTR1814LW4...Hot Spots on refrigerator?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible for a refrigerator to set natural gas off? Yes, that might sound stupid, but I had the gas company actually tag one of these refrigerators because it had hot spots. It seems that this fridge gets very warm to the touch in the center between the freezer and the fridge, along with on the left hand side of the fridge itself (door opens left to right). The freezer and fridge work ok, so there's no complaint about it, with this exception. Is this normal?

Sound like your condenser fan motor quit working and the unit is not dissipating heat properly.

I thought it might be something to that nature, but I wasn't sure. The freezer gets cold, but not cold enough to keep ice cream solid.

Is the fan running? It’s in the back of machine behind rectangular cover.

I don't know. I believe the landlord ended up replacing the refrigerator anyway, but I'll have to check.
