Dead kenmore elite dryer 110.62062102

Hi all,

My kenmore elite dryer 110.62062102 was 6 minutes from ending its cycle when it started beeping nonstop, about every 2 seconds. The high, low, and off lights for the “end of cycle signal” were flashing extremely fast. I pressed “cancel” and everything stopped. After that, nothing worked. No lights, no buttons, nothing. It’s as if it’s unplugged, which it’s not. Power to outlet is still good.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Could be thermal fuse, thermal cutout, door switch, belt broke deactivating belt switch, bad belt switch, etc...

Ok.  Any idea how to start diagnosis?

Update: after being unplugged overnight, it did restart, but moments later repeated the same flashing and beeping behavior as described in my first post. It’s actually running, but the control panel seems to have lost its grip on reality.

Remove vent from back and test it...

maybe as simple as a clogged exhaust vent.
