LG washer 55V to pump?

I have an LG WT1101CW top load washing machine that won't pump out.  Currently trying to narrow it down to a pump or control board.

Hooking the pump to 120V, it seems to spin fine, so I tested the power.  When the machine seems to be "trying to" pump I get 55V AC. Wha--?  Is this "normal" operation for this machine?  Like, some kind of power-saving pump mode?  Or does it mean the board is fried?

Ghost voltage, sounds like main board problem.

I would check the wiring harness first - I've seen this style break the wiring inside the terminal connectors.

Also they include a new wiring harness with the drain pump if you order a new pump - which is unusual, maybe known problems with these harness wires.

Sear - pump harness by itself $49.97
Complete pump with new harness included $56.84

Yes, it turned out to be a ghost voltage I was seeing, but no, not a main board.
Eventually it did click over and give me the full 120.

However, on a lark I wired up the pump in-place and plugged it into the wall whenever the voltmeter said it should be running.  Still no agua.  Even though it spins on the bench, for some reason no torquem when under load in the machine.  Weird!  I have no real explanation for that behavior, but it is what it is I guess.

Lesson learned:  For anybody else troubleshooting a pump,  test it in actual water!
