My Amana 7401anp will not spin, when it should be spinning I hear a repeated clicking noise. I'm thinking there is an issue with the transmission but would like to confirm rather than throw parts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Need proper model number. 7401 pulls up as a porter cable disk sander.

It’s very possible that this part would be the culprit. Does the lid lock blink when it’s trying to spin? Check underneath the washer for any signs of wear. You’ll need to take the cover off by removing the two 5/16 bolts I believe to expose the gear case, belt, etc. it’s possible it could be the gearcase.
