tankless Rinnai v65iP propane hookup

Dear Samurai,   Ive vented and plumbed a Rinnai v65iP tankless waterheater and am looking for advice on the propane plumbing. The copper 'flex' tubing coming out of the propane tank looks to be 1/2 "  (the regulator is on the tank) and the unit has a 3/4" male hookup. What do I need to make the connection/ conversion? Should the pipe going thru the wall be iron?  Thanks fo your help.

Dear Learning Tech,     I live in the sticks and the plumbers Ive spoken to do not want, are not 'licensed,' to plumb gas. My gas company, I felt, balked at doing only the gas hookup suggesting they do 'the whole package' including buying (with commensurate mark up) the appliance, scaring me that the warranty will be void and such other  bureaucratic tactics. Venting and plumbing the household water are things I can do and it plugs in for its' 110v. Gas is the last step and, this far along,  I may have to resort to, as the saying goes, 'doing it myself.'

who is the 'Barry' you refer to ?

Most likely a result of auto-complete or auto-correct getting in the way of what was really meant - @LearningTech most likely meant "Varies on codes by location"

Hey, William, thanks for your reply; I will keep looking into it. Wow, Eureka !  Been a long time since Ive been up thereabouts. I grew up in San Francisco and can still remember the milestone there reading "Eureka 282 miles"
