maytag mdb7759awb3 dishwasher blinking steady

After pressing the start button it lights for a few seconds and then blinks steadily.  I did read and note the blinks 7 times note for heater faults and that's not what's going on here.  I did look at the heater element physically.  There is one spot that has a mark on it, but it's not broken.  Sometimes it will start and run.  Other times it will start and run for a bit and then stop.  I've not pulled it out to check the heater element because connections are short and it's a pain.  Is there any other way to determine the control panel is shorted other than to identify the blinking and simply replace it?

Could be door switch not letting it start.

You can look at the pannel you can test through the pannel with a meter.

Look underneath for the tech sheet use into info to RESET the control and tray to see what you get then.
