Manufacturer: Subzero
Type of Appliance: Fridge
Model Number: 601R/O
Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): Yes

Unit has error code on display ‘EE’ with ‘Service’ and ‘Ice’ that won’t go away. Previous tech had already replaced Main Control Board with no success, I have this call first thing tomorrow and need some testing material for insight for unresolved error code/display issues.

Temp Control ranged for fridge was only -5* to 5* like a freezer control, I was able to reslove issue by cutting out resistor 50 on new main board (Per Subzero e-mail) then temp ranges returned to normal 34* to 45* and no more display of error EE, Ice and flashing Service, if anyone has any similar issues in the future.

You need the 600-series service manuals. Search the FILES section using the term "600" and you'll find a smorgasbord of tech docs. For troubleshooting help, start a new topic in the Appliance Repair Tech Forum.
