How to get at the control board Bosch HBL8X50*

Guys,

This oven just quit working the other day.  The control panel has been loosing the date setting for a few months.  There are no codes, but in the upper left hand corner- there is 4 vertical slash marks about 1/4 long on the display.  This oven seems to be made in the time period of bad solder joints.  I was hoping that it's made to take the interface panel off(some how) and get at things without pulling it from the wall.  It's quite heavy- but I can do that too!

I call the tech and he suggested he could come out and replace the control board and interface panel for about $750 to solve the problem.  I'm not saying he's wrong, but I'd like to see.  I would like to at least confirm no damage and see if there is any signal to the relays prior to replacing stuff.
