Dryer intermittently stops - Whirlpool LEN2000KQ1

The wife says that our Dryer - occasionally - will stop running.  To fix it, she has to turn the dial until it finds a place to start again and hope it runs its course.

She says she doesn’t have to wait to get it started, so I’m doubting a thermal overload.

And when I played with the dial, it sounded right - you could hear the timer running and shutting off in the right places.  So maybe it’s not the timer?

The intermittent nature of this is curious.

Any ideas what I should test?

Thanks!

Does it happen in the same cycle selection or spot on the timer?
