Hello Sam I did a search and found where someone requested the same Hotpoint manual and your dad posted a Mini manual for a GE A4425GTDA which he said was the same thing. So I have the schematic but I do not know how to force it into a defrost so I can check the control board Etc.  sincere thanks in advance. Kevin

The diagnostic routine on these Arctica units is more trouble than it’s worth, IMHO. Here’s an easy way to force defrost manually then check the amp draw on that circuit.
