Manufacturer: Kenmore/Electrolux
Type of Appliance: Stack washer/dryer
Model Number: 417.61722510
Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): Yes
Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): Yes

I’m looking for the tech sheet but, I also need something to help me understand the mechanical functions of the washer. (Service Manual) Example: How does the shifter engage?

See this post in the Dojo for Electrolux and Frigidaire info. As for getting tech help, best to post a new topic in the Appliance Repair Tech Forum for that.

Ok, I have the data from that site. Is there not a service manual, showing where components are and how the machine works mechanically? Even if I follow the beeps to the problem, how do I know how to make the repair?

The second of the two sites linked in that post provides manuals. They can be difficult to find, especially with a Kenmore model number, but if you can identify the platform of the machine you're working on, then you may find a manual there.

Keep in mind too that both Repair Clinic and Appliancepartspros have produced a lot of videos showing disassembly and part replacements.
