Budget Appliance Repair Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Manufacturer: Fisher & Paykel Type of Appliance: Double Dishdrawer Model Number: DD24DCTW7- ?B4581-B Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): Yes Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): Yes Fisher & Paykel Double Dishdrawer Mod# DD24DCTW7-Product ID I suspect customer has given wrong (B4581-B) Ser# BLG335078 (Mfg.Dt. 12/2014) I have service manual from downloads: DD24_DD60 Service Manual 599735A but it only goes to series 6 models not the series 7 that this model is - Will this manual be OK for service and tech info? Can't find any parts info for the W7 model found these two on Sears and F&P site: DD24DCTW6-88514-A (Found Parts List) DD24DCTX7-84679-B (Found Parts List) The X7 as far as I can tell is the exact same as I'm looking for except with a stainless front panel instead of white panel - Can I use this parts list for everything except front panels? The product Id that the customer gave me, (B4581-B), I'm pretty sure is wrong and going to have to have them verify it but it looks like all the product ID's should be 5 numbers and all seem to start with the number "8", I have tried 84581-B but that doesn't come up on the parts manuals on the F&P site, the above two product ID's for the W6 and X7 both come up. Can someone help me with a service manual for the 7 series if the 6 series service manual is not correct and the correct parts list or if using the X7 parts list will be OK. Thanks

J5* Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) 6 and 7 are essentially the same , even 5 is the same, except for the cosmetics one thing that is different between the 3 is the fault codes fault codes 5 and 6 swapped between the versions apart from that you shouldn’t have much trouble , those fault codes relate to fan and lid motors I always go for a phase 7 board when replacing it as it fits all the 3 models and has more fault codes and diagnostics available over version 5 and 6 boards and is less likely to blow up from a bad drying fan and yes as you expect you can use the white parts diagram for everything except the white front panels although there may be some differences with the racking but I think the old racking has been superceeded anyway to the newer versions 8 is a whole different product and 9 is a refresh of 8 which came out prob around 2015 Edited May 28, 2019 by J5*
Budget Appliance Repair Posted May 29, 2019 Author Posted May 29, 2019 Thanks very much guys. The customer did give me the wrong product ID - got the correct product ID and with that the correct parts manual. Thinks for the Phase 7 tech manual, it does have much more fault/sub-fault code info then the Phase 6 manual had.
