Hey, buschman, can you post the wiring diagram for this dryer? Sounds like the timer motor is not getting voltage and we need to see where it's losing it.

Does it not advance in timed dry as well as automatic dry?

the wiring diagram is missing, i looked in your service manual, but the diagram there isn't the same. junior took it apart. got everything working but can't figure out were this black jumper goes and timer motor wires?? according to the w.p. service manual, it looks like 1 wire goes to blue and white and the other to blue? but the timer only has one terminal for blue...and i sure as heck don't get the black jumper..

Ok, the way to handle it at this point is to step back and procure the correct wiring diagram before even thinking about doing any wiring work on this machine. If we try to wire it blind, we're liable to cause more damage and, besides, the dryer needs to have a replacement diagram anyway. You or junior can order one from Sears, the part number for the diagram is LIT3387270.

If I'm on a job where the appliance tech sheet has been stolen and I have to order a new one, this, of course, is chargeable to the customer as a necessary condition of completing the repair.
