Main Control Board substitute

Can anyone help as to whether there is a substitute or replacement for the GE Main Control Board WR55X10832, at a better cost. It is for a GE Energy Star 20.2 Cu. Ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator, Model #GDSS0KCXSS. I've found board with components in same location, same appearance, at much less cost, but can't confirm they would work. It is a 12 year old refrigerator.
