Roper RTW4440vq1 - doesn't start wash cycle, but does spin

Roper RTW4440vq1 here.

It will not start the wash cycle. It will not fill the basin. It will not rinse. But if I turn it to spin on regular, gentle, or perm press, it spins.

The lid switch and clutch seem good - lifting lid stops the basin spinning.

Tips?

Inlet valve. , or temp switch,  if it were the pressure switch it would be dry agitating

Inlet valve was replaced in 2015. That doesn't mean it's not failed, but it does make me less inclined to think that's it-

How can I test the temp switch?

Thank you!

NEW information!

Because you said inlet valve, I went and toggled the water temp (normally on cold wash / cold rinse) to Hot wash / cold rinse... and the basin began to fill.

If I switch it back to cold/cold, water cuts off. If I turn it back to hot/cold, water flows again.

Does that conclusively point to inlet valve, or is the temp switch still questionable?

Summary:

I realized that the temp sensor is built into the same assembly as the water inlet valve.

I replaced the water inlet valve and it's working again. I'm not sure why the last one only lasted 4 years, but I'm good now. Thanks!

Glad you got it fixed !  The newer inlet valves are not holding up well.
