Many apologies if this is a redundant topic.    Half of my range top stopped working. Code is: E6 MBL.

An  friend helped diagnose the issue.  He went through all the boards.  The left control board (Thus the MBL??) had several blown IGBTs. They (apparently) don't make exact replacements, but now offer a 650v version instead of the 600v original.  He replaced all of them.   Then he found a bad relay on the same board.  Replaced that.  Everything now checks out... but I'm still getting the same error code. I would much appreciate any advice..    is there something that needs to be reset?  We've done the factory reset in the menu a couple of time.  What are we missing?  Many thanks in advance for the help.

Typically when working on an induction cooktop ALL the boards need to replaced together and then calibrated and set up through the service mode menu. This is usually not a DIY job as you’ll need access to the technical info and/or factory technical support.
