Sears Kenmore 100.87581110 dryer won't start

I have a Sears Kenmore 100.87581110 dryer that does not start when the start button is pushed. This is a 120V gas dryer.

Systems tests:

Electrical
- There has never been a light inside the dryer and there are no console lights, so it is difficult to confirm that the unit is converting AC power to DC.
- No breakers are tripped. Plugging the washer into the dryer outlet produces power (at the washer).
- Applying a multimeter between the leads of the switch and ground produces either 0 or 0.1 volts (2-wire switch).

Switch
- Applying a multimeter between the leads of the switch and ground produces either 0 or 0.1 volts (2-wire switch) depending on the lead tested.
- The resistance across the switch is infinite when not pressed and zero when pressed.

Thermal switch
- I have reached behind the dryer to the exhaust and am not sure what the thermal switch should look/feel like, or where I should find it.

Other evidence:
- The dryer appears to have stopped during a cycle

Thank you in advance for your knowledge and expertise. Any ideas on what I should do next?

Next easiest check would be the door switch.

Your model starts with 110 ,     After checking the door switch , if it checks good , check the thermals on the blower housing
