It stops mid cycle (after about 20 minutes) and when I press START again it runs for 1 second and stops again. If I wait 10 minutes it will start and run for some another 20 minutes before it stops again. Model: GE DPVH880GJ2WW

If a dryer shuts off and you wait to turn it on. It's because it is cooling off. There are basically 2 things that can cause this. A bad motor or a mis wired dryer. The motor has a thermal overload. If it gets to hot it shuts off until it cools. A mis wired dryer can cause this as well. In other words the dryer cord is connected to the dryer wrong. Or you have 220vac going to the 100vac lead at the cord. Not likely but I have seen this.  OR the heating element shield coating has turned into a chalk. Yes the galvanized coating no longer reflects the heat. Instead absorbs the heat and trips the thermal overload.  These are the 2 things I have run into through the years as a GE factory service tech. I hope this helps. Good luck.

See if it runs longer on low or no heat. Check your house vent too.
