Maytag BRAVOS MCT Model MEDX655DW1 Humming when I press start.

Ok, I'm hoping someone may have experienced this same issue or at least know what the problem is and can steer me in the right direction. About 3 weeks ago I put clothes into the dryer and went to start it. When I pressed the start button, I just heard a loud humming noise. I opened and closed the door a couple of times and still the same thing. I then opened the door and rotated the drum by hand, closed the door and it started. So, I have been using my dryer for about three weeks with this process (when I change loads, just rotate the drum by hand, close the door and press start). Most of the time it starts right up, but some times I have to rotate the drum a couple of times before it will start.

The loud humming is coming from around the back of the dryer, just about right in the center. Any Ideas? Should I take the back off and oil or grease the drum bearings (the drum does seem to be a little hard to rotate in my opinion). Could it be a capacitor that is going bad and not giving enough kick to start the motor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Bob
