I am testing a Frigidaire SxS refrigerator, Model FFHS2611PFEA. I need to know how to initiate a defrost cycle, or do other tests.

Press and hold FRZ UP; then press FF DOWN key 5 times within 5 sec. Input is recognized when FRZ UP is released. Same to deactivate.

OK. I got it into defrost, but I can't get it out.

Hello, working on same model refrigerator and when I tried the self test it sounds like it goes on, but it never does anything. I also had to unplug to deactivate self test. Problem is too much ice in freezer and too warm in FF.

Defrost failure. Need to check heater and thermostat if good. Control is bad.
