Sears Kenmore Model 110.45081401 Noisy - Real Noisy

We've had this front loading washing machine for probably 12 years and it's been pretty decent. It hasn't been perfect as repairs have needed to be done over the years. I think I've waited too long to replace the bearings on this and I might need a new machine. I'm not home when the machine is getting used, but I did a load last night. Besides the horrendous noises, I noticed plastic and some other materials. The machine also would occasionally continue to fill up the drum with water and the odors meant running the cleaning tabs through it on a periodic basis.

So, I'm going to have to either repair or replace. If I'm replacing what are your recommendations for a good machine? Labor Day seems like a good time for a purchase.

Top loader, front loader?

Brands - We had Samsung in the kitchen and we had some issues with that company. Most professionals say to stay away from LG & Samsung. What are the good brands today?

We usually run 2 full loads through the machine on a daily basis.

Thanks for your time!
